Printed Replica of the Bayeux Tapestry Framed

A conversation piece of history.  The Bayeux Tapestry a historical record created in the 11^th Century is the only masterpiece of this kind in the world.  It is an embroidery on linen cloth using wool of various colors.  The manufacture of this work was in all probability entrusted to an Anglo-Saxon work shop supervised by Odon de Condeville, Bishop of Bayeux and half brother of William the Conqueror.  This play on a stage of over 70 meters long and centimeters high, retraces the history of the conquest of England by William the Conqueror.  The story begins in 1064.  At this time, Edward the Confessor, the King of England, Feeling that death was imminent and having no children, requested his Brother-in-law Harold go to Normandy and inform William who was the Duke of this provinces that he, William had been named by Edward as his successor to the Throne of England.  The story is in 3 languages - French, English and German on the printed replica of the Bayeux Tapestry.  Framed under glass with 1" gold classical period frame.
